• Netball Match Analysis

    See the game more clearly.

Thoughtful video analysis that turns what happened into something useful for what comes next.

There is more information available to coaches than ever, but more information doesn’t automatically mean more clarity.

GameSense Analysis helps you understand what actually happened in a match, why it mattered and what might make the biggest difference next. I combine video analysis with carefully selected headline statistics, looking beyond isolated errors to identify the patterns, decisions and connections shaping the game.

You’ll receive a clear, coach-friendly report designed to support selection, training and match-day decisions. No overwhelming data dump and no generic list of things your team did wrong, just useful evidence, thoughtful interpretation and practical priorities for what comes next.

How It Works

Useful analysis starts with the questions you’re trying to answer, not collecting numbers for the sake of it.

What This Analysis Is Built On.

The Whole Game

One error rarely tells us very much. I look across the whole match to understand what kept happening, what changed and how the different parts of your team’s performance connected. The aim is to see the game, not simply catalogue its mistakes.

Evidence + Context

Statistics can show us where to look, but they cannot always explain what we find. I combine useful evidence with the context around it: the opposition, the scoreline, the combinations on court and the decisions players were being asked to make.

Patterns Not Blame

Analysis should create understanding, not a list of people to blame. We’ll explore the conditions behind a performance and the patterns that emerged within it, helping you ask better questions of your systems, your coaching and your team.

Useful Next Steps

The report won’t end with ‘be more accurate’ or ‘make fewer errors.’ It will help you identify what to prioritise, what you might change and what your players may need from you next. Every insight should lead somewhere useful.

The result is analysis that does more than describe the match you’ve already played. It gives you a clearer view of your team, stronger evidence for your coaching decisions and practical priorities you can carry into what comes next - one game, looked at properly and made useful.

One match. More Clarity.

Sometimes you know a match didn’t feel right, but you can’t quite see why. Sometimes the result was positive, yet something underneath it still needs attention. And sometimes you simply need a fresh pair of eyes—someone outside the emotion of the day who can slow the game down and look again.

A GameSense Match Analysis includes a review of your match footage, carefully selected headline statistics and a clear written report exploring what happened, why it mattered and what might make the greatest difference next.

The analysis is shaped around your team and your questions. It might focus on possession loss, attacking connections, defensive impact, centre-pass outcomes, changes between combinations, or something unexpected that emerges from the game itself.

You’ll finish with clearer priorities for training, more evidence for your coaching decisions and practical next steps you can use straight away.

Will my footage work?

For meaningful analysis, I need to be able to see the game developing across the whole court—not simply follow the ball.

Footage captured using Veo, XBot, or a similar wide-angle automated camera is ideal. A phone or tablet recording may also work if it is positioned securely, in landscape, close to the halfway line and high enough to keep most or all of the court in view.

A handheld recording, footage taken from behind a post or a single phone placed low in one corner is unlikely to provide enough visibility for a full GameSense analysis.

If you’re unsure, send me a short sample before booking, and I’ll tell you honestly whether I can do useful work with it.

A little bit about Tam…

I’m Tamryn Settle, an experienced netball coach working across club, university, school, regional and performance environments. I’m Director of Netball at Thames Mavericks, Head Coach at Reading University, Regional Coach at Weston Park Blades and Assistant Coach with RAF Netball’s elite squads, among other roles. I hold my Level 2 coaching qualification and am currently working towards Level 3.

I know that coaches rarely need more information for the sake of it, they need help seeing what matters. I combine a coach’s eye with clear, purposeful analysis to identify the patterns shaping performance and turn them into something genuinely useful: better questions, sharper priorities and practical next steps for training and match day.
